Talking about poverty is fine and, yes, I am pretty happy with the recent Nobel prize in economic sciences, Angus Deaton. However, I keep on thinking that those who really care about income and wealth inequality would be better off to recover some old concepts, wrongly (?!) neglected by the current mainstream in economics: net product, surplus, capitalists, wage-earners, conflict. These are the words that I would like to hear and read. For it is not just poverty. It is class struggle, stupid!
